iOS is the operating system used by the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. In the words of Wikipedia, “an operating system (OS) is a collection of software that manages computer hardware resources and provides common services for computer programs.”

I have been playing with iOS 8 on my iPad and iPhone for some time now. Without a doubt one of the most useful features released with iOS 8 is Continuity. And with it, the possibility to make and receive cellular phone calls from the iPad through the iPhone.
With Continuity, your iPhone can be ringing downstairs or in the kitchen. It does not matter. You can pick up the call

Among other things, the Mail App was improved on iOS 8. There are a few new shortcuts to delete, flag and mark emails as read/unread. Also, if you are waiting for an important reply to a specific email
On June 2nd 2014, within the context of the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple made 3 major announcements: a new operating system for their Mac computer named Yosemite, a new operating system for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch named iOS 8 and a new software developers language to code new Apps called Swift.
iOS 8 includes new and exciting features that will make your iPad (and other iOS devices) more powerful, interactive and easier to use.
But, when is the next iOS 8 update happening?
On some occasions, you may find yourself wanting to use your computer to connect to the Internet from places that do not have Wi-Fi access such as a train, airport or a coffee shop.
If you have an iPad Air, iPad PRO or the new iPad with a Cellular Data plan, you can use a feature called Personal Hotspot to connect your computer or other devices to the Internet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.
A few days ago, I got a call from a friend asking for help. She had lost her iPhone and wanted to know if I could help her find it. I asked her if she had iCloud set up on her phone. The answer was no so there was not much I could do at that point. The story has a happy ending anyways. Luckily, she went back to the gym where she had worked out earlier that day and calling her phone while looking around she was able to find it.
I immediately thought: I should write a post and teach my readers how to take preventive measures against a situation like this one!
Let’s face it. It could happen to anybody. No matter how careful or organized you are, you may lose, misplace or forget your iPhone or iPad device.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a tool that helps you find it ?
In the past few days I had more time to play with my new iPad Air. In case anybody had any doubts, let me clarify that I really like the new tablet and I am enjoying playing with it!!

I am discovering several new features that are available on iOS 7 but I could not access on my previous iPad 2.
One of these features is called AirDrop
Several months ago I wrote an article about how to search on iPad. It mainly referred to iOS 6.
The main benefits of searching your iPad with iOS 7, 8 or 9 remain the same. With iOS 7, 8 and 9, you are able to locate things quickly and easily, whether it’s an App, a contact, song, email, book or appointment.
There is a subtle change though and it boils down to how to access Spotlight (the search utility)
