Money Management on iPad
Money management is a good skill to learn no matter what is your age. Our modern society offers many opportunities to make money as well as ample opportunities to spend it. I remember one of my former university professors used to say, “The more we earn, the more we spend”.
Bank accounts, mortgage payments, rent, credit cards, clothing, gym membership, car payments, groceries, pharmaceuticals, dinners, movies, trips… It’s easy to get lost or to overspend

How to configure the iPad Side Switch
This is a post that I should have written a long time ago. Rotating the iPad and muting the volume is a common daily task. Many times, we want to lock the iPad screen orientation or mute the iPad, such as when the phone rings.

Phonics Play for Early Readers
Parents are often challenged to find creative ways to get their kids excited and interested in reading at a young age. We know how important reading skills are for children’s academic success and futures. Ultimately, we want to engage our kids and get them to read. It seems to me that one of the key ingredients is the fun factor. That is, if we can make reading fun, kids will want to do it. The question is how?
With the arrival of electronic devices such as the iPad and other tablets, kids seem to be spending more and more time in front of screens (not to mention the television, computer, etc.). But with the digital and interactive technology offered by the iPad, we now have a unique opportunity to encourage our kids to practice and develop their reading skills. Sky Fish Phonics and Hideout: Early Reading are two Apps that may offer an answer.
In this post, I will introduce you to two Apps. Sky Fish Phonics is an educational and fun game for young children that teaches basic reading skills
101 Biryani Recipes
Do you like spicy food? In particular, do you like Indian style food?
Some time ago I wrote an article about Recipe Apps for iPad. Those Apps covered mainly American traditional dishes and desserts.
On this post I am going to introduce you to Biryani recipes.

iPad Memory
The other day I was downloading a few iTunes U episodes when I got an unexpected message…
It went something like this:
“Can’t download information. Your iPad is running out of storage space”
Immediately I realized that it was referring to my iPad memory.
Still, this caught me by surprise
How to use the SkyView App
Star gazing has always been source of people’s admiration and curiosity. I remember spending several hours as a kid looking at the stars, especially during summer camp, trying to discover patterns, animals, or shapes as well as their meaning.
You don’t need to be a child to gaze up at the stars at night and contemplate the vastness of the sky and universe. For those of you who appreciate the peace and beauty of the stars or those who would like to know more about the stars, there is an iPad App

New Google Maps App for iPad
On a previous post I discussed how to use Google Maps on iPad using your Safari web browser.
Now the wait is finally over. The new Google Maps App for the iPad is here!
I really love this new App. It is very intuitive and easy to use! The App has been improved from the old version and this one contains many cool features. A few worth mentioning are voice guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation, public transit, biking and walking directions
Comic Books on iPad
Who does not love comic books? I certainly have fond memories of spending hours reading the latest adventures of Archie, Spiderman, and Batman when I was a kid.
While I may no longer be inclined to buy a comic book in a store, I have rediscovered my enjoyment of comics through the iPad! And, I recently got reacquainted with my old friends Archie, Betty, and Veronica :)
In this post, I will discuss the Comixology App and potentially help you return to your source of childhood entertainment.
