My wife’s version of fun with the iPad

I have been having trouble rescuing my iPad from my wife’s hands. She has been playing some games on the iPad at times for hours on end.  The worst part is that she showed me how to play some of these games and now I’m addicted too!

More games means less posts for you my friendly reader… Focus, focus, umm… Okay, I finally closed that game. Let’s see if I can get back to writing.

Applicable to:
iPad versions: iPad, iPad 2, iPad Air
iOS versions: iOS 5, 6, 7, 8 and up

Bejeweled Blitz

This one has been captivating my wife’s attention for a while now. Our niece showed it to her. It’s all about the points. She wants to get more and more points…

There’s a free version (Bejeweled Blitz) and a paid version ( Bejeweled HD ) of this app.

On the free version, you have one minute to align three or more gems of the same kind ( cubes, circles, triangles, etc ) and when you get 3 or more inline, the gems disappear accumulating points and making room for new gems to fall from the top. There’s sound and special effects while the game is ongoing which make it a lot of fun. Cling, cling, cling, there we go… It’s only one minute, I’ll play one more round and get back to my writing. Okay, maybe two rounds… ;-)

You can move the gems by tapping and dragging them.

This one is a classic. You have to get rid of the pigs by throwing birds. The pigs are usually shielded by different types of structures. Some of the birds that you throw might have special powers or skills that can be revealed by tapping on the bird while it is flying. There’s also sound and special effects.
