Do you use Google Calendar?
Would you like to be able to synchronize your Google Calendar with your iPad?
You can achieve this with just a few taps, assuming you already have a Gmail account configured to receive emails on your iPad.
Before you begin, you need a Google account. If you have not done so yet, open Google Calendar on your web browser and login using your existing account.
Configuring iPad to sync with Google Calendar
Tap on Settings
Then tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Then tap on the Google email account that you want to sync with your iPad calendar.
A dialog box for the Google account appears.
Turn on Calendars
iPad will ask you what to do with the existing local calendars.
Tap on the “Keep on my iPad” button to avoid loosing any important information. The warning about duplicate entries appear. It is really up to you, but again, if you have important information, tap on “Keep” to avoid loosing any important information.
From now on, iPad will synchronize calendar with Google Calendar as long as you are connected to the Internet.
On the web browser window where you opened Google Calendar, create a few sample appointments.
Open iPad Calendar
Open your iPad Calendar and browse through the days. You should see the appointments created on the Google Calendar right on your iPad.
Likewise, if you create appointments on your iPad you will see them synchronized on Google Calendar.
