The iPad comes with a default wallpaper or background image. Sometimes you get bored of it and want to change it. Sometimes you are sharing the iPad with somebody else and you can’t stand the background image your partner chose. Other times the wallpaper might be great for you while on vacations but inappropriate to show at a business meeting or presentation.
Today, I’m going to share with you how to change the iPad wallpaper. So you can accommodate those beautiful pictures of your kids or grand kids in the background or that sharp and professional wallpaper before showing up to your next business meeting.
iPad versions: iPad, iPad 2, the New iPad, iPad mini, iPad with Retina Display
iOS versions: iOS 5, iOS 6 and up
Changing iPad wallpaper
To change your wallpaper or background image, tap on Settings
Then tap on Brightness and Wallpaper
Then tap on Wallpaper. This will bring you to the wallpaper screen where you can select from a variety of wallpapers or pictures on your camera roll or photo albums.
On the following example we use one of the existing iPad wallpapers.
Tap on Wallpaper
The list of available wallpapers appear.
Tap on the one you like. The selected wallpaper is displayed with a menu on top
Set Lock Screen will only display the selected wallpaper on your lock screen every time you turn on or open the Smart Cover on your iPad.
Set Home Screen will display the selected wallpaper on your home screen every time you press the home button or while navigating your home screen.
Set Both will display the selected wallpaper on both your home and lock screen.
In a similar way you can set your own camera roll pictures as wallpaper. That’s it for today, have fun changing your wallpapers and don’t forget to let me know how it goes by posting a comment on the form below.
